Ronald & Sylvia, known lovingly as Bop Bop and Momma Syl to those lucky enough to call them that, have a love story for the ages. They never had a wedding ceremony-they eloped when they were 17 (before it was the stylish thing to do). After 57 years of marriage, their family wanted to celebrate them and the legacy that their love has created. They put together a small, intimate celebration at the home they have shared together for decades. The swing under the big oak in the backyard was a coming home gift from Bop Bop, as he’s lovingly referred to, so that he and his bride can “sit side-by-side forever” (his words). They wrote one another love letters and had a beautiful dinner at their very own sweetheart table. When their granddaughter, Meg, got married last year, I met Ronald and Sylvia and I immediately fell in love with them. They are so at ease with one another-when you are in their presence you can see what a lifetime of love looks like. The day was filled with so much love, laughter, and emotion. I can’t wait for you to see some of my favorites from our time together-as always, don’t forget to celebrate love (and happy Valentine’s Day)!
