What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with one of my favorite sessions of ALL time?! Today’s post is so near-and-dear to my heart because it features my own grandparents, who have been pillars for me my entire life. These two have been choosing one another for over 60 years, and we wanted to surprise them with the wedding they never really had. Like so many others in their generation, their wedding day was small, in someone’s home, and had very minimal décor and design. We dreamt up this day to be feminine, southern, and classic just like my Maw Maw. They started the celebration reading love letters to one another before renewing their vows in front of their family. We ended the night with dinner and a “first dance” to Unchained Melody-sung by my incredibly talented brother and sister-in-law. They have danced to this song any time they heard it (even in public, might I add-my seventh grade self cringed but I love it now), and it was the perfect way to end the day. Be sure to scroll to the bottom for the list of incredible vendors that made this special day happen, and as always-don’t forget to celebrate love!
